# Find the buying team

> Use a company domain and your persona criteria to find relevant contacts.

**Starting point:** the domain of an account you want to explore.

**Outcome:** profiles of relevant people at that company, selected using your own criteria.

## Choose your search filters

If you know the department and seniority you need, call [Find relevant people](/v1/find-people) directly. Use Boolean title filters when you need more specific title combinations.

Use [Discover account roles](/v1/discover-roles) when you want to inspect how the company names its teams and roles before searching. This extra step is optional.

## Let your agent select from real titles

Give your agent the returned title list and a short description of your buyer. For example:

> We sell an API observability tool. From the supplied titles, select roles responsible for platform engineering, developer infrastructure, or engineering leadership. Return only titles present in the list, and explain each selection briefly. If none fit, return an empty list.

Review or apply your own rules to the selection, then pass the chosen strings to Search Contact:

## Use the returned profiles

Read `output.persons`. Check the person's current role and company before acting. A relevant title helps you choose who to review. It doesn't confirm buying authority or interest in your product.
