# Qualify a new signup

> Combine person and account data with your own product signals.

<Tip>**Start here for high signup volume.** Add person and company context to registrations, then apply your own onboarding and sales rules.</Tip>

**Starting point:** a signup email, your user ID, and your workspace ID.

**Outcome:** person and company context your application can use for onboarding and account qualification.

## 1. Identify the person

Call [Enrich signups](/v1/enrich-signups). Pass your user and workspace IDs in `custom_fields`. Store the returned `job_id` so you can join the response to the correct signup.

Use a webhook or polling. Wait for successful completion, then inspect the matched profile. If there is no useful match, keep the signup in your normal onboarding flow.

## 2. Resolve the company

Read `output.person.company_domain`. If it is present, call [Enrich accounts](/v1/enrich-accounts). A personal email domain such as a mailbox provider is not the user's employer.

Your application can reuse a recent company result for other users associated with that domain according to your freshness policy. Keep a record of how you matched each user to a company. Users who share an employer don't necessarily belong to the same product workspace.

## 3. Combine account fit with product activity

For example, your application might flag an account for review when:

* The company falls within your target size range.
* Available technology data includes a relevant platform.
* Your own product data shows multiple active users and repeated API usage.

You define these rules in your application. Waterfall does not receive your usage events or return an account score through these endpoints. Missing enrichment fields should remain unknown, rather than automatically failing the account.

## 4. Take the next step

Tailor onboarding for the individual, route the account to your team, or [find relevant people](/v1/find-buying-team). Your integration writes the results to your database, CRM, or workflow tool.

## Check whether the workflow is useful

Measure usable profile and company-domain coverage, review a sample for correct matches, and track latency and cost at your volume. Then check whether the results help your team tailor onboarding or review accounts.
